Logistics Victory Los Angeles (LoVLA) is a partnership managed by the city of Los Angeles with HASC support — to obtain and distribute critically-needed personal protective equipment (PPE) to area hospitals.
According to a May 28 City News Service report, the partnership delivered 100,000 N-95 protective masks in May, with 200,000 more expected in June and 500,000 in July.
As many as 1.2 million additional masks are expected in a fourth shipment anticipated to arrive by the end of December 2020.
The effort relies on funding from organizations it in turn supports with bulk-purchased PPE. Please consider offering your support to LoVLA.
“Through supply chain optimization, city purchasing, and generous donations, Logistics Victory Los Angeles facilitates a clear path for medical service providers on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis to access critical supplies, such as isolation gowns, gloves, N95 respirators, face shields, thermometers and other medical essentials,” the effort’s website states.
“This LoVLA system is supported by the valuable input of those frontline medical professionals in need of supplies during this crisis.”
Individuals, businesses and organizations are invited to support the effort with contributions to the city’s L.A. Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund with the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles. Please add your support via this link.
Visit LoVLA’s city-administered website to request PPE, share PPE and learn more about the initiative. A LoVLA Request Form is available here and below — but all donation requests should be submitted directly via the website to expedite processing.
