A recent article in the Sacramento News & Review focusing on health care job creation included comments from HASC’s Teri Hollingsworth, VP of human resources and education services, and Lisa Mitchell, program director for workforce development.
Hollingsworth shared about the start of the SlingShot Initiative several years ago, a collaboration with the Southeast LA County Workforce Development Board and HealthImpact, a nursing workforce center. Mitchell commented on current efforts to build on the program’s momentum, joining forces with local workforce development boards, with the aim of expanding the framework throughout Southern California.
