Trace Swartzfager, Chief Executive Officer
Laguna Treatment Hospital offers treatment for adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders through research-based clinical and support services. The facility provides hospital-based detoxification, inpatient/residential rehabilitation, co-occurring disorder care and veteran addiction treatment.
Trace Swartzfager, MBA, FACHE, is the organization’s chief executive officer. He has more than 30 years of hospital and health system leadership experience. Most recently, Trace held a variety of executive-level hospital operations and health system strategy positions at St. Dominic Health Services in Jackson, Mississippi, where he served for 25 years.
Board certified in health care management, Trace is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on numerous professional boards and community organizations. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved with various state hospital associations and the American Hospital Association (AHA).
In 2010, Trace was selected for AHA’s Grassroots Champion Award for his effective public policy work on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, to increase access to health care services. Trace currently resides in Laguna Niguel, California.
