Charge Nurse Leadership Development
The Charge Nurse Leadership Development course is designed for the registered nurse in a leadership role. The course facilitates the growth and development of nurses as unit leaders. Advanced leadership strategies, communication techniques, priority setting, and conflict management will be discussed. Practice scenarios are facilitated in group exercises.
Charge Nurse: Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is central to effective task management and decision making in high-risk situations. The Charge Nurse: Critical Thinking course reviews how active assessment and analysis of information improves decision making, and discusses the key principles and barriers to thinking critically. Leadership and Charge Nurse: Creating a Culture of Safety is an advanced course for charge nurses focusing on the role of the nurse leader in creating and developing an atmosphere where all staff feel safe bringing concerns and ideas to improve patient care. The course expands its focus to help nurses improve customer service, continuous survey readiness and response to critical events.
