Communities Lifting Communities and HASC, in collaboration with Proximo, are excited to announce the Health Care Inclusive Procurement Network (HCIPN).
Please join us online for the platform’s official launch and demo and learn how your hospital can benefit from this innovative centralized resource directory. The project aims to support HASC member hospitals and health care systems in enhancing their supplier diversity and inclusive procurement initiatives.
The HCIPN database is designed to help identify experienced, contract-ready vendors that meet classifications under AB 962 and AB 1392. It goes beyond compliance to build a more resilient local supply chain and increase economic opportunities for diverse businesses.
This initiative marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration within the HASC region, where a collective of hospitals and health care systems came together to create and curate the supplier list. Led by Cedars-Sinai, the effort involved contributions from institutions including Kaiser Permanente, UC Health, City of Hope, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Keck Medicine of USC, MemorialCare Health System and PIH Health. Their combined expertise ensures the supplier list is comprehensive and accessible, providing a valuable resource for hospitals looking to diversify their supplier base.
“The supplier directory enables diverse businesses in the health care sector to identify contracting opportunities more efficiently,” said George Greene, president and CEO of HASC. “By streamlining the process, we’re removing barriers that have historically prevented businesses from competing on an equal footing.
“This initiative not only promotes inclusivity in procurement practices but also supports the growth of diverse-owned businesses, ultimately benefiting both health care and our local communities,” Greene said.
