About LA County
HASC’s Los Angeles Region includes facilities ranging in size from a nonprofit, university-affiliated community teaching hospital of 1,258 beds to a sole provider community hospital of 16 beds — and a rural, critical access hospital of 12 beds. The county has 76 hospital emergency departments and 15 fully accredited trauma centers serving almost 10 million residents.
