Happy New Year all!
As 2022 approaches, I hope this email finds you and your families safe and healthy. As we all know the Omicron variant is spreading rapidly and driving increased hospitalizations as we continue to experience acute workforce issues. Next week we will continue our calls with county public health officials, EMS agencies, behavioral health leads, and yes, unfortunately, coroners’ offices.
As we prepare for these calls, I would ask you to please gather information about current experiences at your facilities and the challenges you’re facing — currently, and those that you anticipate facing in the coming weeks. Also please be prepared to ask any questions that you may have for our governmental and regulatory partners.
As always thanks for your continued commitment to patients and communities. While we forecast evolving challenges in the coming weeks, I’m confident we will continue to work through this together.
