Welcome to New Hospital CEOs

HASC warmly welcomes our newest hospital member chief executives:

Renee P. Lewis was promoted to chief executive officer of College Hospital Costa Mesa, Orange County, on January 1, 2023. She joined the organization in March 2022. Renee brings 25 years of experience in community mental health, crisis services, residential services, neurobehavioral services, applied behavioral analysis, developmental disability services and inpatient mental health in Georgia, Alabama and California.

Dana Roesler recently became chief executive officer of Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, San Bernardino County. Dana started with the hospital in 2017 as director of the intensive care/stepdown unit and emergency department and was promoted to chief nursing officer in February 2022. Previously, she served for more than 25 years in executive leadership roles at St. Bernardine Medical Center, San Bernardino.

Randy S. Rogers is the new chief executive officer of Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Orange County. He brings 24 years of experience in quality improvement, hospital operations and business planning and development. Prior to his current role, Randy most recently was CEO of Garden Park Medical Center, where he led the team to achieve patient satisfaction in the 75th percentile for the first time and significantly improved hospital rankings across key state and federal programs.

Adam Rudd became chief executive officer of Riverside Community Hospital, in HCA Healthcare’s Far West Division, in January. He has served in senior leadership roles with the health system for 20 years. Most recently, he was CEO of HCA Largo Medical Center in Florida, where he launched a comprehensive cardiac service line and rebuilt the liver and kidney transplant program to become the state’s highest-ranked transplant service.

Rachelle Spencer, FACHE, is the new CEO of Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Rancho Mirage (VRHRM), an Eisenhower Health Hospital, in Riverside County. She comes to VRHRM from Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital of Albuquerque. Rachelle has spent most of her leadership career in general acute care and cardiac specialty hospitals in New Mexico and Arizona.

Mick Zdeblick is president and chief executive officer at Community Memorial Healthcare in Ventura County. Previously, he served for five years as CEO of Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC), the flagship hospital for Asante Health System, in Medford, Oregon. He oversaw planning and execution of ARRMC’s $500 million facility renovation and expansion while sustaining system profitability throughout the pandemic’s financial challenges.
