As the year draws to a close, I extend warm holiday wishes and heartfelt gratitude to each of you on behalf of the entire HASC team. This season offers a moment to reflect on your remarkable contributions caring for communities across Southern California. Your dedication and resilience have been extraordinary as you meet daily patient needs while addressing the broader challenges shaping our health care system.
Looking ahead to 2025, we see both promise and challenges. HASC remains committed to working with you on our strategic priorities, many of which are longstanding. These priorities include local advocacy, behavioral health, homelessness, EMS, workforce development, local Medi-Cal managed care plans and public health.
Each of these areas not only represents growth opportunities, but also calls us to action to create a better operative environment to improve care for our communities. Tackling these challenges requires the unity and teamwork that define our association and membership. Together, we’ve consistently achieved more than any single organization could alone.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to our member hospitals and your leaders, staff and caregivers. You are the backbone of our region’s health care system, delivering hope and healing every day. Your impact extends far beyond the walls of your buildings to shape the health and well-being of the communities you so tirelessly serve.
On behalf of the Hospital Association of Southern California, I wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. I look forward to all we will accomplish together in 2025, building on the strong foundation of collaboration and commitment that unites us.
Take care and stay safe.
