In her time at CHLA, Khouri oversaw all strategic, operational and administrative functions. Highlights of her impact include high-water marks for CHLA’s market share, revenue growth, brand recognition and operational effectiveness.  She oversaw the development of dozens of new clinical programs, grew the research program and established a cross-continuum system of care for hundreds of thousands of children in Southern California and beyond.

Prior to CHLA, Khouri was executive director at the Boston Children’s Hospital, and oversaw the development and implementation of integrated care models and value-based payment models. Earlier, she was a program director at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Khouri has served as a board member and advisor for numerous organizations, including the American Hospital Association, the Children’s Hospital Association, the California Department of Health Care Services, the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, among others. She is a fierce advocate for pediatric care at the state and federal levels, acting as a trusted industry advisor to several elected officials.

Since 2016, Khouri has been an adjunct faculty member at UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health. From 2003 to 2015, she was an adjunct faculty member in health policy and management at Columbia University.  Her teaching interests focus on health care strategy and finance.

Khouri earned her MBA and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University. She holds undergraduate degrees in geography and economics from George Washington University.
