HASC is pleased to welcome Karl Keeler as Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center’s new chief executive. He begins his role Aug. 15, reporting to Kevin Manemann, chief executive of Providence Southern California.
“Throughout the chief executive selection process, Karl’s demonstrated experience in hospital operations, growth and strategy, and his passion for continuous process improvement made him the ideal candidate to lead Providence Saint Joseph,” Manemann noted.
Keeler brings 30 years of health care experience, starting as an emergency medical technician at a Utah clinic. He went on to hold positions in business development, physician partnerships and administrative management in several states. Later, he served as president and chief executive officer of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center, part of the four-hospital Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho and Oregon. Most recently, Keeler was president of MercyOne Central Iowa Region, a joint operation of CommonSpirit Health and Trinity Health, before joining Providence.
