HASC is proud to announce its partnership with HWL (Healthcare Workforce Logistics) to launch SoCal Works, an exclusive contingent staffing program designed to give HASC members greater control, cost savings and workforce transparency.

SoCal Works is the only contingent staffing program that leverages proprietary technology to provide full insight into pay packages, ensuring transparency across all bill rate components.

“Our members need innovative workforce solutions that balance quality care with sustainability. SoCal Works streamlines the contingent staffing process from application to onboarding. What sets this program apart is the comprehensive benefits package for healthcare professionals,” she said. “It ensures members can fill workforce gaps with qualified clinicians ready to uphold the highest standards of care.”

Jeff Niles, CRO, HWL

“At HWL, we’re thrilled to partner with HASC to introduce SoCal Works, a program that empowers healthcare organizations with unprecedented control and transparency over their contingent staffing. By leveraging our proprietary technology, SoCal Works offers full insight into pay packages, streamlining the staffing process from recruitment to invoicing. This initiative is designed to reduce costs, improve quality of staff and enhance workforce management for HASC members.”

Jeff Niles, chief revenue officer, HWL

Through this program, HASC members can take advantage of:

  • Pay Transparency – Gain control over hourly or weekly pay packages accepted by contingent staff at local, regional and national levels.
  • Fixed Markup Model – Offer competitive pay for contingent staff, keeping rates in line with the market, and standardize agency markups through an employer of record (EOR) and other participating staffing agencies.
  • Local and Regional Float Pool – Benefit from local staffing resources that can be shared by member facilities to fill just-in-time schedule gaps in hard-to-fill specialty areas.
  • Direct Candidate Sourcing – Attract top talent directly to your organization by leveraging your facility brand and attraction. Bring back former travelers to take assignments through the program and convert those interested into full-time staff.
  • Quality-driven Staffing – All candidates undergo thorough screening and clinical interviews to ensure only qualified professionals are presented.
  • No Conversion Fees – Seamlessly transition contingent workers to full-time employees at no extra cost.
  • Real-time Reporting Dashboards – Utilize a proprietary VMS platform for compliance tracking, credentialing, timekeeping, invoicing and analytics.
