The City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board (WDB) has announced its new committee chair and executive committee member appointments for 2025-26. Teri Hollingsworth, HASC vice president for human resources and education services, will serve as chair for the WDB’s business services, marketing and resource development committee.
“I’m honored to serve in this role and to support the WDB’s commitment to building strong, equitable workforce pathways for Los Angeles,” she said.
Hollingsworth also recently joined an apprenticeship study trip to Germany with the WDB and City of Los Angeles representatives through DIAG USA.
The group visited worksites and met apprentices, employers, government leaders and other stakeholders to explore Germany’s dual apprenticeship model. LA team members gained firsthand insights into the model, known for structured, employer-driven training that builds strong worker pipelines and expands pathways for economic growth.
Throughout the trip, the delegates saw apprenticeships used as a long-term strategy for workforce development and innovation. In planning to apply the new insights, the WDB will partner with Goodwill SoCal and other employers to co-design apprenticeship models that meet regional workforce needs while offering value and mobility for employees.
