As hospitals face financial pressures and staffing shortages, monitoring and controlling labor costs is more important than ever. Agency staffing costs have stabilized since the COVID-19 pandemic, but it’s still important for hospitals to stay informed of prevailing rates to fill critical vacancies.
To this end, HASC has teamed up with AMN Healthcare, a leader in staffing and workforce solutions and an Endorsed Business Partner. We’re pleased to offer members quarterly reports on average agency billing rates for allied health, non-clinical and nursing positions.
AMN collects the billing data through its advanced technology and analytics platforms. The reports include both per diem orders (booked for one shift) and long-term (booked for two or more shifts; 13 weeks is standard). Hospitals can use this information as a benchmark in making decisions.
