Coronavirus Response

About Coronavirus Response

As Southern California hospitals and health systems closely monitor developments and guidance issued by public health experts at the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), HASC has created this central location for updates on the state’s coordinated response to novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The California Hospital Association (CHA) has its own online resource page, Coronavirus Response, to keep hospitals and health systems informed on latest updates, guidance, state and federal actions, and other key information and resources related to the virus.

The CDPH, California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA), CDC, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have established sites and issued coronavirus guidance for health care providers. In addition, existing documents that guide emergency preparedness remain in effect, such as the state’s Public Health and Emergency Operations Manual.

HASC also has created a job portal to ensure that Southern California hospitals fill workforce shortages essential to continuing the fight against COVID-19. For information, visit the Priority Workforce Job Portal.
