June 26, 2024 | 9:00AM - 5:00PM PT
Charge Nurse: Creating a Culture of Safety image

Overview

The Joint Commission and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement recognize that safe patient care begins with a culture of teamwork and trust in which all staff feel safe bringing up concerns and ideas to improve care.

As a nurse leader, you’ll learn how to foster a culture of safety in this advanced online course. You’ll begin by briefly reviewing charge nurse leadership basics. You’ll then expand your focus to gain skills in improving customer service, responding to crises and ensuring your unit is always prepared for surveys and audits.

This course is presented by Flex Ed and could be offered by your hospital in the future. If your hospital is a Flex Ed client, check with your organization to learn about future offerings that may be at no charge to you. (Please click here if you’re unsure whether your hospital is a Flex Ed client.) If you wish to continue registration at this point, HASC will offer a discount.
